Tomorrow is the Packers vs. Saints game (Packer tickets are still available if you’re looking to go) which means that Packers season is officially here! If you’ve never been to a Packer game before, here are 5 tips for your first trip to Lambeau Field:
1) Get there early. You will definitely want to walk around and take in the sights! Check out a tailgate party, walk around the parking lot, go to the pro shop, and visit the Packers Hall of Fame. You will want to give yourself enough time to wander around Lambeau Field and still make it to your seats on time.
2) Dress for the weather. Check the forecast before heading to the game. If it’s nice, you’ll be fine! If it’s going to get cooler, you’ll want to bring an extra layer.
3) Bring something to sit on. All of the seats at Lambeau Field are bleacher seats, so you might want to bring something to sit on. You can rent chairs at the stadium and sometimes it’s nice to have something that marks your exact seat.
4) Be respectful to your seatmates. While you will most likely be surrounded by fellow Packers fans, not everyone enjoys that high pitch whistle that is your specialty. Respect your seatmates. It’s not nice to stand up and cheer when the people around you aren’t standing.
5) Enjoy the moment. During your first ever trip to Lambeau Field, you’ll must likely experience sensory overload. There is so much to see and Lambeau Field on game day is an exciting atmosphere. Instead of focusing on getting the perfect angle for the perfect picture to post to your Facebook, Twitter, and instagram accounts, just enjoy the moment!
