Ticket King Employee Takes a Trip to Camp Randall

This Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending the Badgers vs. Boilermakers game at Camp Randall. I try to get to Camp Randall at least once a year, but it can be tricky with scheduling. Saturday’s game was a 2:30 game, which was perfect because I didn’t have to rush from Milwaukee to Madison early in the morning.

Game Day in Madison is the place to be and if you’re never experienced it before, you must. Everyone, including the
UW Band, is out in full force around Camp Randall tailgating before the game. You’ll instantly get lost in the sea of red and you might even feel awkward if you’re not wearing red and white striped overalls. If you’re not going to tailgate by your car, I suggest heading over to one of the bars on Regent St. You might even win some free loot!

Once inside the game, I sat in end zone section Y1 in row 20. It was a great seat because it was just high enough off the ground, but I felt like I was part of the action. The weather was gorgeous that day, so I’m glad I brought my sunglasses. We were in the sun for the majority of the game, which was fine by me because that made it warm enough not to wear a coat.

During half time, a lot of people like to flock indoors to grab some food or use the restrooms, but I like to watch the UW band perform. They are so fun to watch and during the actual game, members of the trumpet section traveled to various locations of the stadium to perform in the stands. Speaking of the UW band, you won’t want to miss out on the 5th quarter.

Perhaps the best part of Saturday’s game was the fact that the Badgers stomped the Boilermakers, 62-17. Attending Badgers games are fun as it is, but winning just makes the experience that much sweeter. I had such a great time at Saturday’s game, that I’m thinking I’ll probably have to get Badgers football tickets for their final home game on November 26th.
