Summer has truly come to Milwaukee as Summerfest 2012 begins in just two days. At noon on Wednesday, June 27th, the Henry Maier Festival Grounds opens its doors for the eleven-day music festival that we affectionately know as “The Big Gig.” I don’t know about you, but I will be patiently waiting in line so that I can enter the fest at noon on Wednesday to get some eggplant strips and ride the glider. There are so many great shows at the Marcus Amphitheater this summer and Ticket King Milwaukee can help you find great Marcus Amphitheater tickets. The 2012 Marcus Amphitheater lineup is as follows:
- Rascall Flatts & Little Big Town: Wednesday, June 27th @ 7:30 PM
- Foo Fighters: Thursday, June 28th @ 7:30 PM
- Kelly Clarkson & Train: Friday, June 29th @ 7:30 PM
- Lady Antebellum & Darius Rucker: Saturday, June 30th @ 7:30 PM
- Beach Boys: Sunday, July 1st @ 7:30 PM
- DJ Tiesto: Tuesday, July 3rd @ 3 PM
- Iron Maiden & Alice Cooper: Wednesday, July 4th @ 7:30 PM
- Zac Brown Band: Thursday, July 5th @ 7:30 PM
- Big Time Rush: Friday, July 6th @ 7:30 PM
- Aerosmith & Cheap Trick: Saturday, July 7th @ 8 PM
- Neil Diamond: Sunday, July 8th @ 8 PM
Don’t miss your chance to see these great acts live in the comfort of your own backyard!
If their latest single, “Windows Down” is any indication, Big Time Rush is not your average boy band. Sampling Blur’s famous guitar riff from “Song 2, “Windows Down” is upbeat and sounds like it should be blasted on the dance floor. The song undoubtedly appeals to a larger audience, which means that people outside the band’s target demographic will enjoy their show at Summerfest. Big Time Rush will headline the Marcus Amphitheater on Friday, July 6th as a part of their The Big Time Summer Tour. Big Time Rush Summerfest tickets are still available from Ticket King Milwaukee.
In case you didn’t know (or have forgotten), Big Time Rush got their start on Nickelodeon on a TV series of the same name. They released their second album at the end of last year and have since gone on to sell over 3.5 million copies of their singles. They’re currently working on the 3rd season of their show and subsequently their 3rd album. Expect to see that album at the end of this year or the beginning of next. Often compared to fellow boy bands, One Direction and The Wanted, Big Time Rush is looking to make their mark in the world of boy bands.
Does it get any better than summertime in the Milwaukee area? I don’t think so. Between the great weather and the summer festivals, it is a wonderful time to be a Milwaukeean. Even better is the fact that Summerfest 2012 is just around the corner and so is the beginning of Alpine Valley’s concert lineup. Summerfest kicks off on Wednesday, June 27th and Phish performs at Alpine Valley on Saturday, June 30th and Sunday, July 1st. Ticket King Milwaukee is here to help you find great Summerfest tickets and Alpine Valley tickets. The Dave Matthews Band will perform at Alpine Valley the following weekend, the same nights that Big Time Rush and Aerosmith headline the Marcus Amphitheater at Summerfest. It’s tough to pick between the Summerfest 2012 lineup and the Alpine Valley concert lineup, but I guess that’s the price we have to pay when we live so close to so many great outdoor concert venues. Whatever you decide, I hope you enjoy all that our great outdoor music venues have to offer!
In just 20 days from now, Summerfest 2012 will begin and Rascal Flatts will headline the Marcus Amphitheater as the first of 11 headliners. Rascal Flatts Summerfest tickets are still available for what promises to be a great night of country music. If you go to the show, expect cool special effects as Rascal Flatts is known for incorporating pyrotechnics, lasers, and video into their live shows. Rascal Flatts is no stranger to the tour circuit as the band has been touring since 2000. In fact, in 2006, Rascal Flatts was the most successful group on the road. They just released their 8th studio album in April of this year with their 7 previous albums going platinum. If you’re a country music fan, you will not want to miss Rascal Flatts at the Marcus Amphitheater!
Tonight begins the first of a three-game home series vs. the Chicago Cubs. Brewers vs. Cubs tickets are still available for all three games! In addition, there are still some great ticket deals available for all three games. Tonight’s and tomorrow’s Brewers vs. Cubs games are both night games starting at 7:10 while Thursday’s game starts at 1:10 PM. I always try to attend at least one Brewers/Cubs game at Miller Park because I enjoy the longstanding rivalry. As you know, a lot of Cubs fans show up for games at Miller Park in part because tickets are generally easier to get at Miller Park than they are at Wrigley Field. Grab your Brewers tickets and head to Miller Park to show those Cubs fans that Brewers fans are truly the best in the league.
With Summerfest 2012 just around the corner, it’s a good time to start thinking about where to sit at the Marcus Amphitheater. Summerfest’s Marcus Amphitheater lineup has something for everyone from the the Beach Boys to Aerosmith, Neil Diamond, or Big Time Rush. If you’ve never seen a concert at the Marcus Amphitheater, the task of picking a seat can be a little daunting. However, take comfort in the fact that there’s really not a bad seat in the house at the Marcus Amphitheater. My number one piece of advice to Marcus Amphitheater concert-goers is to avoid sitting too far off to the side. Avoid anything with a side stage view. Also, it’s also good to note that most of the shows at the Marcus Amphitheater feature a “pit.” The pit is usually the first three or so rows in Section 2. These are the closest rows to the stage, but there are no physical seats.
The Marcus Amphitheater has four tiers of seating. The first two tiers are under the covered pavilion. The first tier of seating is sections 1, 2, and 3. These sections are known as the “red sections” because the seats are painted red. Section 2 is the center section, while section 1 is off to the right (when in your seats looking at the stage) and section 3 is to the left. Behind the red section lies the yellow section which includes sections 4-8. Sections 5 and 6 are in the center of the yellow sections.
Just outside of the covered pavilion are the bleacher seats. The bleacher sections are sections 9-21. Sections 14-16 are in the center of the bleachers. Behind the bleacher seats is the lawn area. The general admission lawn is grass seating.
Now that you know a little more about the seating at the Marcus Amphitheater, you can order your Summerfest Marcus Amphitheater tickets without any hesitation!

Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber will perform at the newly-named BMO Harris Bradley Center on October 21st. Bieber last visited Milwaukee in 2009 with a performance at the Rave. Since then, his career has exploded and he is perhaps the most recognized teen pop star. Backed by a devoted fan base of “Beliebers,” Justin Bieber has become a household name. Bieber gained attention and fame from YouTube, where he posted video of his singing. A talented vocalist with a boyish face, Bieber had all the makings of international pop star. His concert in Milwaukee will be a part of his 2012 North American tour which comes on the heels of his new album, “Believe,” to be released on June 19th. Ticket King Milwaukee is your source for Justin Bieber BMO Harris Bradley Center tickets.
Bieber will be joined by singer Carly Mae Jepson, who will open for his show. Jepson’s hit “Call Me Maybe” has been all over the airwaves recently. Bieber helped Jepson find her fame by making her video go viral. What a guy!
