So You Think You Can Dance is coming to Milwaukee on November 2. That event date will mark the seventh performance on a tour that ends on 12/5 in Hollywood Florida. The popular Fox television show is based upon dance competition. As one group faces another, individuals are eliminated from week to week. At the time of this post, there are only six competitors still in the running. The touring group is made up of former contestants. They will perform their most popular dance numbers just for fun. Tickets for SYTYCD are on sale now.

Badgers Hockey Schedule for Kohl Center and Away Games
The Kohl Center in Madison Wisconsin is home to both the Badgers Hockey and Basketball teams. This winter, the Badger Men’s hockey team will play eighteen games at home, starting with the “U.S. Under 18 team” game on October 6. That one is not an official Badgers hockey game, but it gives folks a glimpse of the up and coming talent from the region. The first home game for the Badgers is on November 2, when they face Colorado College. That’s game one of a two game series.
The Badgers will head to Minneapolis to take on the Golden Gophers for a pair of road games on November 16 and 17. Between November 23 and December 14, the team will have six home games, and a pair of away games in Denver. Their first game of 2013 will be on January 4, at Anchorage. Game time for that series is set for 10 pm local time. Anchorage will come to the Kohl Center on January 25 and 26. The entire Badgers hockey schedule is listed below.

Bucks Tickets for 2012-13 Season Available Now
In just a couple of months, the Milwaukee Bucks will kick off their 2012-13 season. This is the first full NBA season since the strike shortened affair of last year. It all starts with a preseason game at the United Center in Chicago. There will be a second preseason game against the Washington Wizards at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. That game is set for 10/20. The first official game will be an exciting match up between Milwaukee and Boston. Bucks tickets for all home and away games are already available.
The Bucks first regular season home game will be against the the Cavaliers. That November 3 game is one of two home games to be played before they head to the Verizon Center in Washington DC. That one game road trip will be followed up with one game back in Milwaukee. They will play the Celtics on a Saturday night, 11/10. Expect the team to try to make their mark early in the season. Milwaukee will head to Philadelphia for one game, then once again come back to Milwaukee for a pair of games against the Pacers and Hornets.
Joel Przybilla Comes Back to Milwaukee
The Bucks will be without Andrew Bogut for the first time in years. They have Samuel Lambert, Drew Gooden, and Ekpe Udoh to take his place at Center. Who will step up and make their mark under the hoop? We won’t know until later this fall. In 2011, Ekpe Udoh came to Milwaukee from Golden State. He averaged 5.5 points per game, and pulled down nearly four rebounds during his usual 20 minutes on the court each night. He will be called upon to support Joel Przybilla, who signed a one year deal just three days ago. Przybilla started his NBA career in Milwaukee, and looks to finish his time in basketball back here it all started. He’s had multiple procedures on both knees, and will have limited playing time for sure.
My Morning Jacket Milwaukee | BMO Harris Pavilion
As promised, the BMO Harris Pavilion will be booking shows for post-Summerfest concerts. After all, it’s a beautiful venue. The next show on the list is My Morning Jacket, and they perform this Saturday. The show starts at 7:30, and the opening act is none other than Band of Horses.
BMO Harris Pavilion Layout and Sections
For those of you who didn’t make it down to Summerfest this year, the BMO Harris Pavilion is new to the grounds. It replaces the old M&I stage, right next to the Marcus Amp. This is not your typical Summerfest side stage. The pavilion is under cover, with assigned seats for nearly ten thousand people. The stage faces west, which means that your view of the stage has Lake Michigan as its backdrop. From what I have heard, it’s an amazing view. There are 13 sections in total, with five sections that are just in front of the stage. Sections six through thirteen are set behind one through five. During the Summerfest run, there is room enough for folks to stand behind the assigned seats. The venue is set low, so those that have to stand in the back can see the stage with no obstructions.
This is not a four season venue. Aside from the roof, it’s wide open to the wind, rain, and Milwaukee winters. Given time, I’ll bet that this venue becomes a favorite for those who head down to Summerfest. The last show of the season will feature none other than Elvis Costello. Costello plays on September 15.
Brewers Ticket Discount Offer | Ticket King Wisconsin
Brewers fans were excited to see their team sweep the Houston Astros at Miller Park. The Brewers take a short trip to St. Louis this weekend, and head back to Milwaukee for a two game series against the Reds. There is still a lot of baseball to be played, and Ticket King has a discount offer for you!
Use the discount code “HOTWEEKEND” and take 10% off any Brewers game, home or away. Here’s the catch: You have until midnight this Sunday to take advantage of this offer. This special offer is short and sweet, just like that two game series coming up at Miller Park.
Jimmy Buffett Tickets for Alpine Valley
Turn the calendar to August, and you will see that Jimmy Buffett is scheduled to perform at Alpine Valley on August 25. Buffett fans are called “Parrotheads,” and they are excited to know that this show is just a few weeks away. All they need is a bit of sun, and a parking lot to party in before Jimmy Buffett hits the stage. Alpine Valley has at least one of those two things. There is nothing they can do about the sun. Either way, the event will be great.
Jimmy Buffett tickets are currently priced at $59 each for lawn tickets. Pavilion seating is priced higher, but if you buy a pavilion ticket, you will be under cover, and have an actual seat to sit in. Some folks say that there is more fun to be had in the lawn section. I’ll bet that’s the case during a Buffett show.
