Five Upcoming Events in Wisconsin

It’s been a busy summer at the Ticket King with lots of great events and concerts but the fun is not over yet. Here are a few events that I am looking forward to checking out before the summer is over.
1. Dave Matthews Band at Alpine Valley
Dave Matthews Band will be playing at Alpine the weekend of July 18th and 19th with opening act Umphreys McGee. The show should be a huge event; Saturday night is sold out and Sunday Alpine Valley tickets are getting pretty scarce as well. The band will be promoting their new album, Big Whiskey and the Groo Grux King, a tribute to the late LeRoi Moore. I am looking forward to the parking lot parties that Alpine is famous for and to hear the bands great new album live.

2. Milwaukee Brewers Cincinnati Reds
The game on Thursday the 27th of July is a game I am looking forward to because day games are a great time to tailgate and enjoy the summer weather. It will be one of the last chances to see the Brew Crew before school starts again and the season winds down. The game against the Reds should be an exciting one as the teams are national league central rivals. Hopefully the weather is good and the crew plays well!

3. Foreigner
British-American rock band Foreigner is playing at the Wisconsin State Fair on the 8th of August. This would be a fun show to go to for a few reasons. First I will enjoy some cream puffs, 10 cent milk and possibly some corn on the cob. After stuffing myself beyond all reason, I will head to the show once I buy some Wisconsin State Fair park tickets. Foreigner has been a secret of obsession of mine and I have loved them since childhood. “I Wanna Know What Love Is” has been my ring tone since I’ve had a cell phone. The show will be a great chance to both get out to the fair and see one of my favorite bands.

4. Phantom of the Opera
Another event that is a little different than all the others that I am going to attend this summer is Phantom of the Opera. It is a greatly popular musical and it is making a stop in Milwaukee during its U.S. Tour. It would be a nice opportunity to see a Broadway musical, right in my own backyard! It would also be a nice way to broaden my horizons and attend a more refined and complex performance.

5 Jimmy Buffet
My fellow parrotheads will be following me out to Jimmy Buffet at Alpine Valley again this year. The show has been a staple in my summer concert lineup for years and I cannot wait. Buffet notoriously brings out a very rowdy crowd of fans who all thoroughly enjoy the parking lot parties and do not hesitate to bring it into the venue. He will be playing on the 29th of August which will be an excellent wrap up of a fun summer.

Summerfest is Just Blocks from our Office

It’s fun to see the Summerfest fans pass our Ticket King windows. They look like they are in a party mood. Most people park a bit closer to the festival grounds, but not everyone. You can pick them out from the crowd by their smiles.

When our customers come through to pick up their tickets, they usually ask for a map to the Summerfest. It’s easy. We’re just five blocks north, and five blocks west of the festival grounds.

The closer you get to Summerfest, the more you will be charged for parking. I like the cheapo lots that are five or six blocks away from the main gate. That saves me cash for food.

Tonight Earth Wind and Fire perform at the Marcus Amphitheater. I’m heading down there on Thursday night to wander the grounds with my nephew. I have no idea who is playing that night, but that doesn’t matter. It will be fun just the same.

Busy Ten Days at Ticket King

When Summerfest is in full swing, so is the crew at Ticket King. Yes that rhymes, but I didn’t mean for that to happen. We are surprised to find that people are desperate for Earth Wind and Fire tickets. Who would have thought that the band from the 1970’s would draw so well?

The “Favre Watch” is on full alert, as Brett and the Vikings agree to contract terms. It’s no surprise that his contract is heavy with performance incentives. Does that mean he won’t hand the ball off to Peterson? No, Brett just wants to win.

We have extended hours at the office during Summerfest, so come on down this Saturday or Sunday. We’re open both days. Summerfest Tickets are flying out the door. Catch yours online or in person.

Green Bay Packers Tickets with or without Favre

Will he, or won’t he play for the Vikings? Either way, we will have tickets for the game at Lambeau Field. Favre is popular, no matter what color the uniform. Someday, we will see the old number four retired, and Brett’s name on the stadium wall. For now, let’s see if he shows up in Green Bay wearing a purple helmet. Rest assured, we will have tickets for that game.

Meanwhile, Kiss tickets have gone on sale for their Summerfest show. That show announcement was a pleasant surprise for all the Kiss fans. Marcus Amphitheater tickets for that show are available now.

Summer is fast approaching, get those plans locked in.

My first blogpost for Ticket King

Hello!
I’m Paul, and I think that it’s high time that I give the world, or at least Wisconsin, some quick ticket updates from time to time. If you are looking for a last minute deal on Milwaukee Brewers tickets, check out the inventory for the games today and tomorrow.

If you didn’t get enough ice during our long winter, we have Milwaukee Admirals tickets for tonight’s playoff game. If you ask me, the Bradley Center is a great place to check out some playoff hockey.

That’s all I have for this post, but keep checking back from time to time. I’ll give you the heads up on ticket deals for the week.
