  • The Brewers vs. Cubs Rivalry | Milwaukee Brewers Tickets

Beginning Friday, the Brewers will host the Cubs for a three-game home series at Miller Park. The Brewers vs. Cubs rivalry is well-known amongst fans of both teams, but do you know the history of this rivalry? Here’s a look some interesting facts about the Brewers vs. Cubs rivalry:

    • Brewers and Cubs have played each other in the Cactus League of spring training since 1969 (when brewers were the Seattle Pilots), but the rivalry didn’t grow until 1998 when the Brewers joined the National League.
    • 1st official Brewers vs. Cubs meeting was June 13th, 1997 in interleague play at Wrigley Field (Brewers won 4-2).
    • The rivalry is often referred to as the “I-94 rivalry” because of the fact that both Miller Park and Wrigley Field are located just off of I-94.
    • When the Cubs come to Miller Park, the park is often referred to as “Wrigley Field North” because in past years, more Cubs fans have showed up to the games than Brewers fans. Wrigley Field has also been historically sold out and Milwaukee Brewers tickets have been easier to come by for Cubs fans.
    • On Saturday, April 11th, 2008, the Brewers hosted the Cubs for the second of their three-game home opener series. This game boasted the highest attendance in Major League baseball.
    • The Brewers and Cubs have never met in the post-season.

What do you think about the Brewers vs. Cubs rivalry? Is it still a big deal or do you think it’s dwindling?

  • Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart Bradley Center Tickets

There are so many great concerts happening in Milwaukee this spring and summer that it’s almost hard to keep track of all of them! I’m really looking forward to the Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart concert at the Bradley Center on July 30th. Ticket King Milwaukee still has great Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart Bradley Center tickets available.

Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart are making a stop in Milwaukee as a part of their Heart & Soul tour. I’m looking forward to this evening of good old classic rock. Both Nicks and Stewart are talented musicians with a knack for storytelling. The concert will have a standard floor plan, with reserved floor seating available. If you’re a fan of classic rock, you will not want to miss this opportunity to see two living legends perform in one night!
  • Brewers vs. Reds 5/7-5/9 | Milwaukee Brewers Tickets

The Milwaukee Brewers return home for a three-game series on May 7th-May 9th against the Cincinnati Reds. Brewers vs. Reds tickets are available for this three-game series at Miller Park.  This will be a great opportunity to watch a good NL Central match up. Currently, the Brewers are in 3rd place in the NL Central division, just behind the Cincinnati Reds.

The Brewers return to Miller Park after a west coast road trip that featured Ryan Braun setting a record for the most home runs scored in a single game at Petco Park in San Diego. This was also Braun’s first career 3-homer game. Way to go, Braun! Too early to start talking about Braun as a repeat MVP?

  • Train and Kelly Clarkson Summerfest Tickets

Another Summerfest headliner announcement! Train and Kelly Clarkson will headline the Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest 2012. The seasoned pop veterans and Grammy winners will take the stage on Friday, June 29th, joined by special guest Brian Dennen. Ticket King Milwaukee is your source for excellent Train and Kelly Clarkson Summerfest tickets as soon as they are available.

Train will be touring in support of their latest album, California 37. Formed in 1994, Train saw widespread success in 1998 with the release of their self-titled album Train which featured their biggest hit “Meet Virginia.” In 2002, Train won two Grammys for their hit “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” off their second album, Drops of Jupiter. This song gained the band international attention.

Kelly Clarkson was the first-ever American Idol winner ten years ago. Since then, she’s put out 5 studio albums and won a multitude of awards including MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Awards, and two Grammys. Clarkson has seen much success over the course of her 10 year career and is considered the most successful Idol winner in the history of the show.

Both Train and Kelly Clarkson have performed at Summerfest in past years, so it will be nice to see both of them back and performing at the Marcus Amphitheater. Wonder if they’ll collaborate on any numbers for us!

  • Milwaukee Brewers on the Road | Milwaukee Brewers Tickets

Ever think about traveling outside of Milwaukee to see the Milwaukee Brewers play? Ticket King Milwaukee can help you get Milwaukee Brewers tickets to see the Brewers on the road! Catching a Brewers game outside of Milwaukee can be a great way to experience a new city while watching the hometown team play. It’s also fun to check out classic ballparks around the country. A couple of years ago, the Ticket King crew took a quick trip up to Minneapolis to see the Brewers vs. Twins. Not only did we get to enjoy a lovely day in outdoor Minneapolis, but we got to see our Brewers win! This season, the Brewers will play in many exciting cities around the country including New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Denver, St. Louis, and Washington DC (to name a few). Go see the Brewers play on the road and incorporate a sight-seeing trip along with it!

  • Nickelback at the Bradley Center 5/25 | Bradley Center Tickets

Don’t forget that your favorite Canadian rock band will perform at the Bradley Center on May 25th. That’s right, Nickelback makes a return to Milwaukee at the end of May. Joined by Bush, Seether, and My Darkest Days, Nickelback at the Bradley Center promises to be a rockin’ good time. I’m glad to see Bush back on tour. I was a big Bush fan when they had their hey day in the ’90s. Nickelback has been consistently churning out rock n’ roll hits since the early ’00s. They’ve been appearing in Milwaukee at various venues off and on since then. In addition to playing at the Bradley Center, Nickelback has headlined at the Marcus Amphitheater during Summerfest several times and has also appeared at the Rave. Nickelback Bradley Center tickets are still available and they make a good gift for your significant other. The show starts at 6PM and has a general admission floor. That means that the floor is standing room only and first come first serve. If you don’t mind standing for long periods of time, I recommend going for the GA floor and arriving as early in order to stake out a good spot on the floor.

  • Black Keys Tickets 5/16

You have a little over 3 weeks to get your Black Keys tickets for their May 16th concert at the Bradley Center, but I wouldn’t suggest waiting much longer to get your tickets. Already, the Black Keys have dazzled concert-goers across the nation with live shows featuring their latests hits off their newest album, El Camino. As far as spring concerts in Milwaukee are concerned, the Black Keys at the Bradley Center is a must-see show. As I’ve mentioned several times before, the Black Keys played last summer at Summerfest at the Marcus Amphitheater and it was one of the best shows of the summer. I’m still sad that I missed that show, but I don’t like to dwell on the past. Anyways, go see the Black Keys on May 16th at the Bradley Center. You’ll be glad that you did. Arctic Monkeys will be opening for the Black Keys.

  • Brewers vs. Astros Tickets

Tonight, the Brewers open up a 3 game home series against the Houston Astros. Now, I know it’s Monday night and most people are still winding down after the weekend, but I can’t think of a better way to spend my evening than at Miller Park. Get your Brewers vs. Astros tickets and head on over to Miller Park to cheer on the Brew Crew. Zack Greinke will be pitching tonight and hopefully he can help get the Brewers back on track after the team didn’t do as well as hoped this weekend vs. the Colorado Rockies. Tonight’s Brewers vs. Astros game marks the beginning of a six-game road trip for Houston. Speaking of Houston, the Brewers have won 29 of their 39 games against the Astros at Miller Park since 2007. Let’s hope that after tonight’s game the Brewers will have 30 wins against Houston. Go Brewers!
