It was a huge win for our Wisconsin Badgers last night. The Badgers defeated Ohio State in front of a national audience. From the opening kick off that was returned for a Badgers touchdown, to the “nail biter” surge from the Buckeyes, to the nail-in-the-coffin run by James White, Badgers fans soaked it all in. When it was over, fans rushed the field and climbed the goal posts.
J.J. Watt led the defense, but it was a team effort that kept the Buckeyes to three points in the first half. When Ohio State expected the run, Scott Tolzien got the nod and started a late game drive by passing, passing, passing. That put Ohio state on their heels, and gave the Badgers running game some room. From there, the combination of Clay and White took to the ground once again.
This is the first time in 29 years that our Wisconsin Badgers managed to defeat a number one ranked team. Wisconsin’s rankings are sure to rise, and Ohio’s rank will head south. The Big Ten title is still up for grabs.
