Seating at the Marcus Amphitheater

With Summerfest 2012 just around the corner, it’s a good time to start thinking about where to sit at the Marcus Amphitheater. Summerfest’s Marcus Amphitheater lineup has something for everyone from the the Beach Boys to Aerosmith, Neil Diamond, or Big Time Rush. If you’ve never seen a concert at the Marcus Amphitheater, the task of picking a seat can be a little daunting. However, take comfort in the fact that there’s really not a bad seat in the house at the Marcus Amphitheater. My number one piece of advice to Marcus Amphitheater concert-goers is to avoid sitting too far off to the side. Avoid anything with a side stage view. Also, it’s also good to note that most of the shows at the Marcus Amphitheater feature a “pit.” The pit is usually the first three or so rows in Section 2. These are the closest rows to the stage, but there are no physical seats.

The Marcus Amphitheater has four tiers of seating. The first two tiers are under the covered pavilion. The first tier of seating is sections 1, 2, and 3. These sections are known as the “red sections” because the seats are painted red. Section 2 is the center section, while section 1 is off to the right (when in your seats looking at the stage) and section 3 is to the left. Behind the red section lies the yellow section which includes sections 4-8. Sections 5 and 6 are in the center of the yellow sections.

Just outside of the covered pavilion are the bleacher seats. The bleacher sections are sections 9-21. Sections 14-16 are in the center of the bleachers. Behind the bleacher seats is the lawn area. The general admission lawn is grass seating.

Now that you know a little more about the seating at the Marcus Amphitheater, you can order your Summerfest Marcus Amphitheater tickets without any hesitation!
