The Badgers first televised games of the 2013 basketball season will be aired from Canada next week. Five head-to-head match-ups with the country’s best collegiate, national, and pro-am teams will be covered by UWBadgers.com and two Canadian university websites between August 21stand August 26th. The preseason exhibition schedule is Wisconsin’s first since a 2006 trip to Italy to play the Italian U-21 National Team.
The Badgers face the Canadian Jr. National Team in the third game of their series. It will mark the first basketball game the team has ever played in Toronto, following just days after Wisconsin’s debut performances in Ottawa. Readable updates and stats will be provided by UWBadgers.com.
The Badgers play the first pair of games in their schedule in Ottawa. Carleton welcomes the team to the Kieth Harris Gym on the 21stfor the opening game of the series, followed by a game against Ottawa University at Montpetit Hall on the 2.
UWBadgers.com will have real-time coverage of the Carleton contest, while ssncanada.ca will host a live-stream of the Ottawa match-up. Both games start at 6PM central time.
The second game to be streamed will come on August 25. Ryerson University’s website will broadcast a contest from Mattamy Athletic Center at 7PM between themselves and the Badgers. It will be Wisconsin’s second-of-three games in Toronto, straddled by the team’s meeting with the Canadian Jr. National Team on the 24th and a game against pro-am team A Game Hoops at Seneca College on August 26.
Those games start at 5PM, 7PM, and noon, respectively.
