The band has been going strong for eight years, and are fresh off their Grammy win in 2015 for their album titled “Sound and Color.” Chris Stapleton brings his country/bluegrass sound to the same stage, as he’s co-headlining that evening.
Alabama Shakes has produced just two albums so far. In 2012, they released the album titled “Boys and Girls.” It quickly became a top ten disk in the US and UK. Who makes up Alabama Shakes? Zac Cockrell, Heath Fogg, Brittney Howard, and Steve Johnson. As for their “Sound and Color” release in 2015, it was also a huge hit in Canada, Holland, and the United States. Sound and Color went on to win four Grammy’s.
Chris Stapleton came out in 2001, as the lead singer for The Steeldrivers around 2007, he grabbed his first hit song. He went solo in 2013, when signing to Mercury Nashville records. That album, titled “Traveller” was a number one hit in two countries. See you at Summerfest 2016!
