Deer District Restaurant and Pub Guide 2022

Ticket King - Milwaukee Bucks - Deer DistrictThe Deer District is no longer a “hidden gem” after the Bucks profile rose throughout the playoffs last season. With the Milwaukee Bucks winning the 2021 NBA Championship all eyes are on another successful run in 2022.  Bucks fans will once again be looking to join in the festivities. If you have been to the Deer District in the past, you may already know that you can find great food and a lively atmosphere just outside the doors of the Fiserv Forum. Thousands descended on the Deer District during the 2021 NBA Playoff run. This season, fans will return and they have many options for food, drink, and fun. This is Ticket King’s Deer District Food and Drink Guide for 2022.

We must start with The Fiserv Forum itself. The Fiserv is sleek, modern, and the best NBA venue in the league. From craft beers to local burgers, the food at the Fiserv Forum matches the quality of the venue. Check out the Fiserv Forum for Bucks games, concerts, or Marquette basketball.

Just outside the Fiserv Forum is the Mecca Sports Bar & Grill. It’s the place to be for Bucks watch parties and Brewers broadcasts. You won’t miss a second of the action with their 64 hi-def televisions. The Mecca seats over 700 people and reservations are recommended for Bucks playoff game days.

Good City Brewing opened a second location, taking advantage of the crowds in the Deer District. It’s located on Juneau Avenue, just around the corner from the Mecca Bar and Grill. You will not be disappointed with their beer menu. Good City has a great lineup of pub-style sandwiches, pizza, and salads. For those looking for a great non-alcoholic drink, try their Athletic Upside Down or Athletic Free Wave drinks.

The Beer Garden is another easy choice for gathering before, during, or after the game. Located between the Mecca Sports Bar and Good City Brewing, you will find it’s an outdoor oasis on warm nights. The Beer Garden is a great option if you don’t have a ticket to the game, but still want to hang out with a laid-back group of Bucks fans.

Don’t forget Punch Bowl Social for more than your average viewing party. Punch Bowl Social is known for its bowling, arcade games, karaoke, and food. All ages are welcome until 10 pm. After that, the venue transitions to a 21 and over “place to be.” This guide does not cover every option for food and drink in and around the Deer District. Explore the neighborhood and you’ll find pubs, restaurants, hotels, and shopping.

Bucks Parking at the Fiserv Forum

Where can you park at the Fiserv Forum for Milwaukee Bucks games?

Surrounding the Fiserv Forum, there are parking lots to be found in pretty much every direction. We suggest the SP+ Parking structure at 1030 N. 6th Street, just south of the Fiserv Forum. That structure is five stories tall and less than one block from the venue. North of the Fiserv you can find parking at 1215 N. 5th Street. That lot holds over 1200 cars.

A surface parking lot at 623 W. State Street is located just south of the Milwaukee Police District 1 station. Two small surface parking lots are just east of the Fiserv Forum. Impark’s surface lot is at 1048 Vel R. Philips Avenue. The other small surface lot is at 332 W. State Street. Northeast of the Forum is another surface lot, located at 1231 N. Old World Third Street. Another surface lot within walking distance of the Fiserv Forum is at 1124 N. Old World Third Street.

Where is the cheapest place to park near the Fiserv Forum?

It goes without saying that the closer you get to the Fiserv Forum the higher the price to park. The SP+ Parking lot at North 6th street and the lots just east of the venue are generally the most expensive places to park. It would be impossible to post parking prices here, as they are subject to change from Bucks game to game, year over year.

Fiserv Forum Bag Policy

Milwaukee Bucks tickets

The Bucks are one of the the hottest teams in the NBA this season and fans are heading to home games to get in on some World Champion basketball action. There is nothing like seeing the Bucks at the Fiserv Forum. The venue is one of the newest in the NBA. When attending a Milwaukee Bucks game, there are certain rules fans need to follow. Ticket King is happy to break down the latest Fiserv Forum Bag Policy for 2022.

Oddly enough, there is a “No Bag Policy” for fans attending games at the Fiserv Forum. Leave the purses and totes at home. You can bring in a “wallet” as long as it’s no larger than 4″ x 6″ x 1″. Are there exceptions to this policy? Only for diaper bags and bags needed “due to medical necessity.” Those two exceptions (diaper and medical bags) will be subject to x-ray upon entry. This policy is starting to become the norm around most NBA stadiums. It’s just best to leave your personal items at home when heading to the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
