Milwaukee Bucks Begin First Week Of Camp | New Bucks Squad Comes Together
The revamped Milwaukee Bucks and new head coach Larry Drew concluded the first week of camp this week with the Bucks annual Fun Fest on Saturday. The open practice featured scrimmages, drills, fan interaction, and much more for the over 1,000 that filled the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The day was also the first time fans got to see the new MECCA floor-inspired court played on since it was debuted last month.Drew was pleased with his new team heading into Saturday’s event. Following a week of practice including private scrimmages on Thursday and a defensive focus on Friday, the head coach told reporters he was excited about the prospects this season. Point guard Brandon Knight echoed those thoughts, though he admitted that there were still kinks to work out for the relatively unfamiliar 19 faces in camp this year.Larry Sanders was one of just four players on the court at Fan Fest who wore a Bucks jersey last season. He and Knight teamed up with O.J. Mayo, Ersan Ilyasova, and Caron Butler for two 12-minute scrimmages against Gary Neal, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Olek Czyk, Luke Ridnour, and John Henson to highlight the day. The ten were supported by a bench featuring the likes of Nate Wolters and Marquette’s Junior Cadougan.Dubbed the black team, Sanders and his teammates for the day are expected to be one of the starting-line options for Drew this season. The five lost a scrimmage on Thursday to Neal’s and Antetokounmpo’s second-line, though redeemed themselves in-front of the home crowd with a 41-29 win. Knight led the game with nine points, followed by Sanders with eight.First round draft pick Antetokounmpo put-up seven points for the white team in their unsuccessful effort against the starters. Fellow rookie Wolters led the bench with five. The pair took a break from the action to join fans in a free-throw contest during a timeout. Shooting with a teammate from the audience, the rookies kept the competition close, though Antetokounmpo and his partner narrowly won by a margin of 13-to-12.Bucks Squad Without Udoh and Delfino
Notable absences from Saturday’s Fan Fest included returning power forward Epke Udoh, Carlos Delfino, and Zaza Pachulia. Udoh was the only unconfirmed omission prior to Saturday, as Delfino and Pachulia were both sidelined earlier in the week. Staff for the team could only reveal that Udoh complained of soreness that morning. Former Piston forward Khris Middleton was the bright spot on the injury report Saturday, returning to participate fully despite spraining an ankle on Wednesday. -

Bon Jovi Resch Center Tickets For Green Bay | Ticket King Wisconsin
Bon Jovi comes to the Resch Center in Green Bay on October 22. The name of the tour is “Because We Can.” When did Bon Jovi last play in Green Bay? This will be the band’s first time in Titletown. Fans are excited to see this legendary group head north of the bigger cities in Wisconsin. After all, there are lots of fans all over Wisconsin. Tickets for the Green Bay Bon Jovi show are on sale September 16.
Because We Can Tour Rolls To Green Bay Wisconsin
The band’s current tour started back in February of this year. The band crossed the country from east to west, with their last American show date at the HP Pavilion in San Jose. From there, the group played a pair of dates in South Africa. From there it was on to Europe, playing dates in Bulgaria, Germany, Sweden, Finland, and the UK. One of the biggest shows on the tour was their July 5 stop in London. They played in front of 20,000+ fans in Hyde Park. From there, it was back to the United States, where the band performed in stadiums, and a few large indoor venues. Rain or shine, the band played on.
In comparison, the Resch Center is a small venue for such a huge group. There will be just under 10,000 seats available for the show, so they are going to move fast. Be advised that some seats might be “obstructed view” seats, so it’s best to check with our staff at Ticket King for the best options. Floor seating will be assigned, with five sections and no elevation. Some of the best seating is just to the right and left of the stage, elevated.

Caron Butler Now A Milwaukee Buck | Bucks Trade Smith and Kravstov To Phoenix
Caron Butler is coming home. The Racine native, and 11 year veteran of the NBA was traded to the Bucks last week. In exchange, Milwaukee sent point guard Ish Smith and center Viacheslav Kravstov to the Phoenix Suns, where Butler had played since July. Smith appeared in 16 games with the Bucks after joining the team in February as part of the J.J. Redick swap; Kravstov spent only the month of August in team’s summer camp before departing.Butler’s homecoming is bittersweet. A product of a difficult childhood in Racine, he was arrested more than 15 times by his 15thbirthday. His high school career in the city was often eclipsed by his street-troubles, as he saw more court-time at the county’s juvenile penitentiary than on Racine High School’s gym floor. An enrollment in the Maine Central Institute when he was 17 saved Butler, however, as he flourished on the independent school’s team during his final two years of high school.Following his time at the Maine Central Institute, Butler’s basketball career was in full-swing. Awarded a scholarship to play under Jim Calhoun at the University of Connecticut in 2000, he finished that year as the Huskies top scorer and rebounder. He took home a gold medal at the 2001 FIBA World Championships for Young Men.After another standout season his sophomore year at UConn,Butler applied for the draft in 2002. The Miami Heat took him with their first-round pick at 10th overall, though injuries during his second season with the team saw him traded to the Lakers in 2005. Butler wouldn’t see any playing-time in Los Angeles before being sent to Washington for remainder of the 2005 season.Butler’s Time At Washington Made Him A Standout Player
With the Wizards, the small forward became a mainstay of the team’s scoring trio. He, Antawn Johnson, and Gilbert Arenas led Washington to a playoff berth against Cleveland in the 2006 playoffs, though a loss in game 6 dropped them from competition. Despite that, the Wizards renegotiated a four-year contract with Butler worth $46 million. He would remain in Washington until 2010, earning All-Star honors twice during that time.Denied an extension following the expiration of his contract with the Wizards in 2010, Butler played on a single-year deal until February, when he given to Dallas in exchange for four players. The Mavericks would eventually win an NBA title just a year later; though knee surgery kept Butler from assisting that effort. He was released by Dallas in late 2011, but recovered quickly with a three-year signing with the Clippers. -

Badgers Play At Lambeau Field In 2016 | LSU Tigers Will Come To Green Bay
It was recently announced that the Wisconsin Badgers will play their first-ever game at Lambeau Field. At a press-conference on Thursday, a spokesperson for the school told reporters that the Badgers had finalized plans to meet LSU for the pair’s 2016 season-opener in Green Bay on September 3. The deal is the second part of an agreement made back in May. The agreement is that the teams will meet twice, in non-conference neutral-field games, before 2020. Wisconsin travels to Houston to face LSU in the 2014 season opener to fulfill their part of the agreement. The Badgers and the Tigers have meet on gridiron just twice in collegiate history. LSU took the win at the pair’s first meeting in Madison in 1971, though Wisconsin won vengeance the following year in Baton Rouge. To schedule the date, Wisconsin officials were forced to request a push-back of the Badgers previously planned meeting with Virginia Tech on September 10th. The Hokies agreed to the terms, and the pair will now play a home-home series between 2019 and 2020.2016 marks the first Big Ten season where all conference teams will begin playing a nine-game league schedule. Wisconsin has made one of the heartiest efforts thus-far to pepper-in substantial non-conference match-ups in light of the change in format, starting with the team’s first game of the 2015 season against Alabama in Arlington.Washington, South Florida, and Brigham Young University have also agreed to meet the Badgers for non-conference games in the seasons following 2014. -

Cincinnati has won just three of their last ten games, and they are “ripe for the picking.”

Packers Family Night August 3 | Ticket King Green Bay
The weather looks great for Packers Family Night. What’s it all about? Families enjoying a bit of football action at Lambeau Field. The Packers offense and defense will square off against each other with on field drills this Saturday evening, but there is so much more to see and do. Tickets for the event are available now.
Check out the Packers Experience in the Tundra Tailgate Zone. Opening at 11am, the Tailgate Zone will feature inflatable games, and fun. The little ones might enjoy the Family Night Picnic area, where they can get their fill of chalk drawing and face painting. For the older folks, the Fan Walkway Zone will be set up along Oneida Street. That’s where you will find some of the coolest Packers displays, and live animals from the Wildlife Sanctuary. If that’s not enough action for you, be sure to get a load of the Lego Lambeau Field. MSOE students plan to build a giant reproduction of Lambeau, made only of Legos. I wonder if they have enough dark green Legos to do the job?
At the end of this inter-squad scrimmage, fans will be treated to a fireworks display. Keep in mind that the weather will come in to play, should it be too rainy for those rockets. The Packers suggest an early arrival, since this event is very popular. See you in Green Bay!
