The Green Bay Packers face the Detroit Lions this Sunday at Ford Field. With both teams at 1-1 for the season, a win for either side would be a huge “leg up” for the victor. Which team will come out on top? Odds makers have the Packers at five point favorites right now. Given the fact that the advantage for home teams starts at three points, it looks like the “experts” are leaning towards a Green Bay victory.
The Lions have one of the best wide receivers in the league, but Green Bay has a powerful weapon at the same position. Jordy Nelson is coming off of his best game of his career, but still thinking about the few missed opportunities from last week’s affair with the Jets. As for Calvin Johnson, he posted his career best game against our Green Bay Packers in 2001, putting up 244 receiving yards, but the Lions came out on the short end of the stick that day.
Green Bay has a few more weapons on the offensive side of the ball, when compared to Detroit. Still, both teams have a quarterback that can be a threat throughout the four quarters. Will Green Bay stand at 2-1 at the end of the day this Sunday?
