The 2026 Green Bay Packers schedule has been released, and fans are now making plans to head to Lambeau Field. Which 2026 Packers home games will have a noon start on a Sunday? Which games will take place on a Thursday or Sunday night? Will the “warm weather” teams break during those cold winter matchups? Ticket King breaks down all the Packers’ home games by date for the upcoming season.
Packers vs. Cardinals – Preseason Game August 28
On August 28, the Packers will play their only preseason home game on a Friday night. The Cardinals will come to Green Bay for the last preseason game of 2026. The Cardinals are coming off their worst season in many years, going 3-14. Jacoby Brissett will be leading the Cardinals in the upcoming season.
Packers vs. Falcons – Home Opener on September 24
Green Bay will start the regular season on the road for two games. The team’s home opener will take place on Thursday, September 24. It’s a night game against the Atlanta Falcons. In 2025, the Falcons finished their season 8-9, in a three-way tie for first place in the NFC South. Atlanta will feature Michael Penix Jr. as their starter this season. In the 2026 draft, the Falcons picked a cornerback, a wide receiver, and a linebacker in their first three rounds. They are putting their faith in Penix for the foreseeable future.
Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on October 11
It’s one of the biggest games of the season for both the Packers and Bears. Chicago comes to Green Bay on October 11 for an afternoon game at Lambeau Field. Packers vs. Bears tickets for this specific game are some of the most sought-after tickets in the NFL. Bears fans are hyped up after their winning season in 2025 and the defeat of the Packers in the playoffs.
This game is sure to attract Bears fans who are more than willing to drive from Illinois to Wisconsin to see their team. As for Packers fans, it’s all about revenge. The Packers have had the Bears’ number for so many seasons, and this game might decide who rules the NFC North early in the season.
Packers vs. Cowboys – Sunday Night Football on October 18
The team will stay home for their next game, hosting the Dallas Cowboys for a Sunday Night Football game at Lambeau Field. Brian Schottenheimer coached the team through the 2025 season, going 7-9-1. Dak Prescott begins his eleventh season as quarterback of the Cowboys. Prescott is currently 1-3-1 againt the Packers overall. The 40-40 tie last season was a game for the ages. Both teams scored 24 points in the second half of the game, with each team managing just a field goal in overtime.
Carolina Panthers vs. Green Bay Packers – Thursday Night Football 2026
The Packers play their third October home game on October 29, against the Panthers. This is another Thursday Night Football event on the Packers’ schedule. For fans, Packers vs. Panthers tickets are some of the lowest-priced of all the home games. The Panthers took the top spot of the NFC South, and were just 38 seconds away from winning their Wild Card round game against the Los Angeles Rams last season. Don’t sleep on this game. Lock in your tickets now.
Packers vs. Vikings – NFC North Game – Noon Start at Lambeau Field
On November 15, the Packers will host the Vikings at noon. This will be the second meeting for both teams, as Green Bay will open the season at Minnesota. The Vikings surged late in the 2025 season, and the team hopes to start 2026 in the same fashion. If the Packers win the season opener at Minnesota, the Vikings will be very hungry to win this divisional matchup.
Buffalo Bills vs. Green Bay Packers – Sunday Night – December 13
To some football fans, the Bills are a franchise that is similar to Green Bay. Both teams are best in smaller markets. The Bills and Packers have a great history. Both teams have a fan base willing to travel far to attend a road game. Will Lambeau Field’s bleachers be dotted with blue and red, the Buffalo team’s colors? Most certainly. Can you still get Packers vs. Bills tickets? Of course.
Packers vs. Dolphins – Noon Kickoff – December 20
Green Bay fans might hope for chilly temperatures at kickoff. The Dolphins might not be prepared for what could feel like one of the coldest places to play in the NFL. Miami will be coming off a home game against the Bears when they come to Green Bay. Former defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley will be leading the Dolphins as head coach, and he’ll surely be looking to notch a win against his former team.
Texans Come to Green Bay January 4 – Monday Night Football
The Packers play just one game on a Monday night, and that will be late in the season against the Houston Texans. By the time this game takes place, winter will have a firm grip on the city of Green Bay. Will the Texans be prepared for the “Frozen Tundra”, or will they snap in what could be brutal cold? See that game live when you grab some Packers vs. Texans tickets.
Lions Come to Green Bay January 10
It will be the last regular-season game for the Packers, and they will host the Detroit Lions on a Sunday. As of this time, kickoff has not been set. The game may even be moved to another day, should the NFL decide. Will it be a “win and you’re in” game for either team? Only time will tell.
Summerfest’s New Bag & Carry-In Policy: What You Can (and Can’t) Bring in 2026
If you’re heading to Summerfest this year, there’s one thing you’ll want to check before you leave home: The updated bag and carry-in policy. The festival has rolled out a stricter entry policy that changes what types of bags are allowed and what will get turned away at the gate. If you’ve been to Summerfest in past years, don’t assume the same rules apply. Here’s a straightforward breakdown of what’s changed and how to avoid any surprises when you arrive.
What’s Different About the Carry-In and Bag Policy This Year?
Summerfest has moved toward a more structured entry process, similar to what you’d see at major sporting events or large stadium concerts. The biggest shift is a new focus on bag restrictions and security screening. For attendees, that means less flexibility on what you can bring, but potentially faster entry once you’re in line.
The Clear Bag Rule Explained
The most noticeable change is the introduction of a clear bag requirement. If you plan to bring a bag larger than a small personal item, it now needs to be transparent. Clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags are acceptable, as long as they stay within the approved size limits. Permitted bags include: Clear bags that are no larger than 12″x12″x6″ in size. Small clutch bags that are no larger than 6″x9″. Fanny packs no larger than 6″x9″.
This type of policy is already common at NFL stadiums and large-scale venues, and Summerfest is now following that same approach. Ticket King has clear bags that comply with the new policy. Stop in our Milwaukee office during work hours, and we’ll be happy to provide you with a free bag to take to Summerfest 2026.
Are Any Non-Clear Bags Allowed?
Yes, but only if they’re small.
Compact items like clutches, small purses, or waist packs are still allowed, provided they stay within a limited size range. These are intended for essentials like your phone, wallet, and keys. If your bag is larger than that, it should be clear, or you may be asked to return it to your car. There have been situations where people have abandoned their bags at the gate. If you do, that bag will be removed from the area. It’s worth the trip back to your vehicle, so you can properly store your belongings.
Items That Will Likely Get Turned Away
This is where many returning attendees could run into issues. Items that were once common at Summerfest are now restricted or no longer permitted. These include:
Backpacks of any kind
Larger purses that are not clear
Oversized bags that exceed entry limits
Coolers or food containers
Outside food and beverages
If you’ve traditionally packed for a full day at the grounds, you’ll want to rethink that approach this year.
What to Expect at the Gate
Entry into the festival now includes a more consistent screening process. All attendees should expect to pass through security checkpoints, which may include metal detection and bag inspections. While this may sound like an added step, these systems are designed to keep lines moving efficiently. The smoother your setup (and the simpler your bag), the faster you’ll get through.
Exceptions for Medical and Family Needs
There are a few important exceptions to keep in mind. Guests with medical requirements can bring necessary items, and diaper bags are permitted for families. In some cases, you can also carry a small non-clear pouch inside a larger clear bag for personal items. If you fall into one of these categories, it’s still a good idea to keep things as streamlined as possible to avoid delays.
Tips to Avoid Delays at Summerfest
Use a clear bag if you’re bringing more than the basics
Stick to small personal items when possible
Double-check your items before heading out
A little preparation can save you a lot of time at the entrance.
Why This Matters for Your Summerfest Experience
This policy change isn’t just about security; it changes how you plan your day. For longtime Summerfest fans, the adjustment may take a little getting used to. But for first-time visitors, it’s simply the new standard. The key takeaway: keep it simple, pack light, and know the rules before you go.
Final Thoughts
Summerfest remains one of the best live music experiences in the country, and a smooth entry helps set the tone for the rest of your day. Make sure your bag, and everything in it, meets the updated guidelines, and you’ll spend less time at the gate and more time enjoying the shows at all the stages.
