  • Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft 2016 | Ticket King

We are officially into the NFL off season, and a major part of that is the speculation about the NFL draft. Here is our in house analyst T.J. Bryce’s mock draft for the Green Bay Packers main rival, the Minnesota Vikings.
Round One: Taylor Decker/OT/Ohio State- The Vikings have massive offensive line issues, perhaps one of the worst offensive line situations in the entire league if you wish to view it from that perspective. Former first round draft choice Matt Kalil was drafted for an old system the Vikings have moved on from and has had his fair share of problems adjusting to this new system. To simplify, he just doesn’t fit in this system and the Vikings need a new left tackle. Looking at the free agent market there really isn’t one, so it may be in their best interest to use their first round draft choice on one. Decker excels at pass blocking, and would do a great job of protecting Teddy Bridgewater’s backside.
Round Two: Pharoh Cooper/WR/South Carolina- The Vikings hit a home run a year ago when they drafted Stefon Diggs in round five. Now they need more. I’ve been on this guy to the Vikings now for a while, and I will stay on him. He is a polished route runner, and that is something the Vikings sorely need at the wide receiver position at the moment.
Round Three: Jack Allen/C/Michigan State- In addition to signing a guard in free agency, the Vikings could also use a long term answer at center. John Sullivan will be over 30 and attempting to come back from a pair of back surgeries, which is almost asking for the impossible from a center on the wrong side of 30. It is extremely difficult to find a center on the free agent market. Fortunately, the best centers are found in rounds 3-6 in the draft. Allen could be a good one.
Round Four: Jihad Ward/DE/Illinois- At 6’5” and a jellybean away from 300 pounds, Ward is a physical “monster” who has a ton of upside. He can play either right defensive end or under tackle in the 4-3 zone run defense the Vikings utilize. Ward has a high ceiling, and if these Vikings coaches can convince him to play to his potential, look out. He can go with the best of them.
Round Five: Paul McRoberts/WR/Southeast Missouri State- I originally had UCLA’s Jordan Payton to the Vikings with this selection, but he is flying up the draft boards, currently in round three. Instead, we will opt for the physical McRoberts, who isn’t fast, or quick, nor is he the best route runner either. So what is he? Well, McRoberts is almost impossible to stop in a one-on-one “box out” situation due to his size, strength, and big strong hands. These types of players come in handy on third and six in the fourth quarter at Soldier Field in December with the season on the line.
Round Six: Wendell Smallwood/RB/West Virginia- A perfect solution to the Vikings third down back question. Smallwood is a tweener who excels at pass blocking and catching the ball out of the backfield.

Round Seven: Chris Brown/WR/Notre Dame- Yes, I know, this is my third wide receiver in this draft. Let me explain. You can sign offensive guards, you can sign safeties (as the Vikings are interested in George Iloka,) you can sign linebackers, you can sign defensive lineman. However, free agent wide receivers rarely ever work, at all so you need to draft and make your own. In my opinion, the only two wide receivers from last season who should be on the Vikings week one roster are Diggs and special teams standout Adam Thielen. Everyone else can get lost. They were that bad. So what is Chris Brown? Well, he is a solid, consistent football player. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. Just a solid performer. Every roster needs players like Chris Brown.
  • Will Marquette Make the NCAA Tournament in 2016? | Ticket King

We are approaching February, so for college basketball that means it is time to start thinking ahead to the NCAA Tournament. In this post, we will examine the strengths and weaknesses of the Big East teams who are tournament contenders. Will Marquette find a way to make the tournament in 2016?
Villanova– The Wildcats currently sit at 18-3 overall, in first place in the Big East, and are currently projected as a number one seed for the tournament. This is a program that has always been built on tremendous perimeter play and this season is no different. The Wildcats have a quartet of fantastic perimeter players, led by junior guard Josh Hart. They have plenty of guards, and they can all make things happen. With this team once again it is the age old question; do they have enough size that can make a difference come tournament time? I think the answer is no.
Xavier– The Musketeers currently sit at 18-2 overall and in second place in the Big East. Xavier currently projects as a number two seed for the tournament. The Musketeers have a trio of really good guards led by sophomore Trevor Bluiett. Unlike Villanova, the Musketeers have some skilled big men who protect the paint such as James Farr and Jalen Reynolds. This is a very dangerous team. They don’t do any one particular thing better than anyone else, but they don’t really have any big holes either. This is a nice balanced team.
Providence– The Flyers currently sit at 18-4, ranked 10thin the nation, and are the projected 5 seed in the South Region. Providence is led by one of the premier big men in America, sophomore forward Ben Bentil, who is averaging 20.3 points per game to go along with 8.1 rebounds per game. They also have a very talented do it all point guard in junior Kris Dunn. I see two problems with this team though, first of all depth. They have a few really good players at the top of their roster, and then not much after that. Second, it’s a lack of experience. It has been a long time since this program was this good. I expect next season to be the one for this program, so basically, one more year Flyers fans.
GeorgetownThe Hoyas currently sit at 13-9 in the Big East and are on the outside looking in to the tournament. They are still in it, but they have a lot of work to do in between now and tournament time due to their poor out of conference performance. Yes the Hoyas have a couple of nice guards, but honestly, there is not much about this team I like at the moment, and I don’t see this team getting close to the tournament.
Seton Hall– The Pirates currently stand at 15-6 and are one of the last four in according to ESPN’s Joe Lunardi. This is the first time in a long time, 2006 in fact, since the Pirates have sniffed the tournament. This team is led by a bunch of talented sophomores, specifically guard Isaiah Whitehead and forward Khadeen Carrington. Are they better suited for guard or perimeter play? Check. Are they skilled big men? Check. How about their depth? Check. How about their experience? That’s their big problem. None of these players on this team has any real postseason experience, so this year is still a learning year.
Creighton– The Blue Jays currently sit at 14-8, and is on the outside looking into the tournament at the moment. They are in the same position as Georgetown, they are still in it, but they have a lot of work to do. They are also very much like Georgetown in that there is not much I like about this team and I don’t think this is a tournament team, at all.
Marquette– The Golden Eagles currently sit at 15-7 overall, and are also on the outside looking into the tournament at the moment. They don’t have as much work to do as Georgetown or Creighton though, so that is a help to their cause. Marquette has one of the best freshmen in the country in forward Henry Ellenson, who is averaging nearly 17 points per game and over 10 rebounds per game. Ellenson currently stands as the 4th pick overall in the 2016 NBA Lottery. Overall Marquette has a lot of inexperienced freshman and sophomores, so the question is how fast can they all grow up?
Butler– The Bulldogs currently stand at 14-7 and are the 10 seed in the South Region. The reason as to why this team is in the tournament at the moment unlike a bunch of teams above them in the Big East standings is because they have a better resume. The Bulldogs have a pair of big time out of conference wins, one on the road against Cincinnati, and the other at home against Purdue. The Bulldogs are a scrappy, scrappy bunch, just like they always have been. This team has fantastic guard play and can defend with the best of them. Question is size just like it always is with this team, of course, their lack of size didn’t affect them on their way to back to back national championship game appearances.
  • Peter Gabriel Pairs Up With Sting for Summerfest 2016 | Ticket King Inc.

Sting with Peter Gabriel is the fifth headline show booked for Summerfest 2016. This is the second “co-headliner” act for the “World’s Largest Music Festival.” Tickets for the show are already on sale. The show date is set for July 10. It’s a great match, if you are a fan of vocal powerhouses like Gabriel and Sting.

Gabriel Left Genesis To Go Solo

Some fans might not know this, but Peter Gabriel was the lead singer of Genesis. He left the band in the mid 1970’s and put out is first solo effort in 1977.  That one was a self titled work that went gold. He found himself in the top ten with the song “Solsbury Hill.” He came out with three self titled albums, but his 1980 effort was his most successful of the trio. That album’s biggest songs were Games Without Frontiers and Biko. He hit number one in England and France that year. Which album did American fans like the best?  It was his album titled “So” which also spawned the well known video to the song “Sledgehammer.” Eventually, he would release five singles from that album. He hit number one in five countries.

Sting Went Solo During His Time in The Police

Sting Solo Work Began In 1985 with the release of “The Dream of the Blue Turtles.” Since that time, he has released eleven solo albums.  His last release came out in 2013.  It was titled “The Last Ship.” This disk came after a ten year break between disks released.

  • Summerfest 2016 Announces Panic! At The Disco with Weezer for July 9 Headline Show

Sure, the 2005 version of Panic! At The Disco is long gone, but the face of that band is still the man people pay money to see. Panic! will be headlining Summerfest 2016 on July 9. Weezer is listed as the co-headline act. Summerfest tickets for that date will be available after January 22.
What can we say about album number five from this band? Rolling Stone says that the music is “Channeling Sinatra, with non-awful results.”

As for Weezer the band has just released “The White Album.”  This is the fourth color coded album title for a band that has been going strong since 1994. The album concept came from Rivers Cuomo’s experiences in and around Venice and Santa Monica. He also took inspiration from The Beach Boys.

  • Packers vs Cardinals Tickets | Green Bay Defeats Washinton in First Round

The Green Bay Packers are on the way to Arizona.  The NFL 2015 playoffs started this past weekend, and the Packers looked dominant against the Washington Redskins. The first quarter of the game didn’t look so great for Rodgers and Co. The team was forced into a safety, and the Redskins kicked a field goal after receiving the post safety punt. Washington was up 11-0 before Green Bay kicked it into high gear. The Packers went on to score seventeen unanswered points, before Washington scored once again. Still, the momentum went to Green Bay, and the team took care of business, with a final score of 35-18. If you are looking for Packers vs Cardinals playoff tickets, look no further. If the Packers manage to win the next game, they will be playing in the NFC Championship game.

  • Luke Bryan Summerfest 2016 Tickets | Ticket King Inc.

Summerfest 2016 will feature Luke Bryan on July 7. In the dead of winter, country music fans now have something to look forward to. It’s another country music show added to the ten day music festival on Milwaukee’s lakefront.  Luke Bryan’s latest album titled “Kill The Lights” is one of country music’s biggest hits right now.

His latest effort came on the heels of “Spring Break…Checkin’ out” which also came out last year. Just don’t call Luke Bryan’s music “Bro Country.” Some may call him the father of that genre, singing about the same four or five things in every tune, but he’s made it known that he’s slightly offended by that term.  His fans don’t seem to mind.  They love him just the same.
