Usher Tickets For Summerfest | Ticket King Wisconsin
Summerfest fans will certainly welcome Usher to the Marcus Amphitheater on July 6, 2014. This looks like an exclusive tour date for Usher, as he has not scheduled any other shows for the United States this summer. That should be a treat for all fans. Bebe Rexha will be the opening act. Tickets for the Summerfest show date go on sale this Saturday. When usher signed his record deal, it was after he dazzled the judges on Star Search. He was just fifteen years old at the time. His dance moves were just as good as his vocal style. He hit pay dirt with his second release, with hit songs like “You Make Me Wanna?” His next effort was bigger and better, selling close to five million copies. That album, titled 8701 had a number one hit.Ten years into his career, he teamed up with Ludacris and Lil Jon. The trio put together a song titled “Yeah!” That song can be found on the disk titled “Confessions,” and it went on to sell nearly 20 million copies. By 2005, Usher had a number of top ten hit songs, along with Grammy and Billboard Awards. As the years have rolled on, fans found Usher on the hit TV show “The Voice.” Now it’s Usher giving the thumbs up or down to people who are looking for a big break. -
Kiss And Def Leppard Come To Alpine Valley August 15
Alpine Valley was once a major tour stop for popular bands. It’s been 35 years since the venue first opened, and times have changed just a bit. For 2014, we have seen just one concert announcement so far. Kiss with Def Leppard will be coming to East Troy on August 15. Judging by the fact that Dave Matthews has decided to stop at Summerfest, instead of his usual appearance at Alpine, one wonders what other bands will grace the stage of this lovely outdoor venue.
With it’s VIP section, wide open grassy area, and amazing backdrop, one would think that Alpine Valley will stay open for years to come. If the venue doesn’t host at least four shows per year, how can that continue? Live Nation is the current owner, and they certainly have the ability to find talent to book that venue full. Why does it seem that they just can’t get more headline shows to stop there?Summerfest certainly takes a bite from the competitive concert market. Many headline acts would rather hit the Marcus Amphitheater stage, during one of the ten days that the “Worlds Largest Music Festival” is open. Chicago has their own version of Summerfest, and has also hosted a number of outdoor concerts in the past few years. It’s tough to compete with the “big city” treatment that an artist receives when they come to play in Milwaukee or Chicago. Yes, Alpine Valley is just 45 minutes from either city, and that can also have a negative effect on booking. The competition is certainly stiff. Finally, there is one factor that looms large, and that’s the logistics of getting in and out of Alpine Valley. We have all heard the stories of people spending three or four hours trying to get out of the grassy parking lots at Alpine Valley. The smart folks find that leaving before the show ends is the best way to get home. If the weather isn’t perfect, a muddy parking lot and slippery grass are what you can expect when you get to the venue. Milwaukee’s Summerfest grounds have ample parking, and even at the worst of times, getting on the road after Summerfest ends is a delay of fractional proportions when compared to leaving East Troy.Still, there is something magical about sitting on the lawn at Alpine Valley. On a warm summer night, the moon can hang just over the roof of the venue, bathing the hills and trees in a warm glow. That’s when you understand why an Alpine Valley show is so spectacular. Let’s hope that there are more great bands coming to Alpine this season. It would be a shame to see the venue go unused. -
Buzz Williams Leaves Marquette After Team Fails To Get Tournament Bid
The Marquette men’s basketball team may have failed to make any postseason tournaments in 2014, but the program broke into the March headlines this week regardless. It was announced and confirmed on Friday that head coach Buzz Williams would be leaving the school to accept a contract at the helm of Virginia Tech. Williams released a public statement following a closed-meeting with players at the Al McGuire Center that afternoon thanking Marquette and their fans for the support during his six-year tenure.Players at the private gathering reported that the head coach had told them that he had not planned on leaving Marquette until the offer from the Hokies came earlier this month. Interim athletic director at Marquette Bill Cords said that the organization was made aware of the deal prior to Friday, and had already begun the search for a replacement. Online, a number of names almost immediately surfaced as possible candidates for the job, including former UCLA coach Ben Howland and current Green Bay coach Brian Wardle.Details of the Virginia Tech offer emerged fast once officials there and at Marquette confirmed the news. Williams will reportedly earn $18 million over seven-years with the Hokies. At Marquette, he was making about $3 million per season.Williams had been a fixture at Marquette since 2007, when he served as an assistant for a season before taking over for the departing Tom Crean. He inherited a solid program from his predecessor, and did not miss a step in leading the Golden Eagles to their fourth consecutive 20-win season. In 2011, Williams led Marquette to a program best single-season record of 27-wins, and just a year later, claimed his first conference championship. The 41-year old coach also managed five straight NCAA Tournament berths for the Golden Eagles during his time at the school. Back-to-back sweet 16 appearances in 2011 and 2012 were the highlight of his postseason success until the team reached the elite eight for the first time since 2003 last year.Big East Too Much For Williams
Despite the progressive momentum over the past three seasons, Williams and Marquette fell flat in their first year as a member of the reconfigured Big East. The team finished a lowly sixth in the conference with losses to all three of the new-comers, Creighton, Xavier, and Butler, as well as a season-sweep at the hands of conference champions Villanova. Xavier dashed Marquette’s hopes of an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament with a victory in the first round of the Big East Tournament on March 13th. And to add insult to injury, the team failed to even make the National Invitation Tournament.Out of conference, Marquette’s fortune was not improved. Starting the season at number 17, the Golden Eagles fell to number ten Ohio State in the third game of the year. By the time they faced Wisconsin on December 7th, the only other ranked opponent they would play outside of the Big East, they had fallen out of the top-25. Overall, Marquette finished the 2013 season with a 17-11 record. -

As fate would have it, the Wisconsin Badgers will be at the BMO Harris Bradley Center for their first round of the NCAA tournament. Badgers tickets for that game are available now. This news comes after Wisconsin lost to Michigan State in the Big Ten tournament. Wisconsin’s late rally was not enough to push them over the top, losing 75-83 to the Spartans. Still, the consolation prize is playing the first round of the tournament right here in Milwaukee.
The Badgers have been to the tournament fifteen consecutive times. They will take on American, a team that managed to lose a dozen games this season. Brad Paisley Summerfest 2014 Tickets | Darius Rucker Opens For Paisley
Summerfest announced another headline show for 2014. Brad Paisley will be the featured act on the Marcus Amphitheater stage on June 27. Opening the show for Paisley will be Darius Rucker and Joel Crouse. Tickets are already on sale. At the time of this post, Summerfest has now filled six days of headliners. One can only guess what bands will also come to “The World’s Largest Music Festival.”
Brad Paisley hit the big time in 2008 with his album titled “Fifth Gear.” Four songs from that album hit the top of the charts. His running total of hit singles just kept increasing, as Paisley supported the album for nearly one full year. He was nominated for multiple Grammys, and picked one up for his song titled Throttleneck. Brad Paisley has won over fifty various awards, going back to 1999, when he picked up the Top New Male Vocalist nod from ACM. Brad Paisley might not be the most “high profile” country singer in the world, but he’s certainly made a name for himself over the past fifteen years. Check him out at Summerfest 2014.

Motley Crue has a proud legacy of being one step ahead of other bands of their genre. They built their own drum risers, came up with their own stage moves, and often found other bands copying their licks. Ask any Crue fan, and they will tell you that they were the first group to utilize so many moves . Tommy Lee’s drum solos are proof.

Milwaukee Brewers 2014 Opening Day Tickets | Ticket King Wisconsin
For fans of baseball and spring weather, Brewers opening day couldn’t come fast enough. The 2014 date is set for March 31, and the opponent will be none other than the Atlanta Braves. Will Yovanni Gallardo be on the mound that day, or will the Brew Crew take a shot on their newly acquired starter Matt Garza? Either way, the fans will be happy to see some great baseball and possibly some warmer weather. Tickets for the Brewers opening day 2014 are on sale now.
Milwaukee made a few bold moves during the early stages of the off season. After losing Corey Hart to free agency, the Brewers picked up Mark Reynolds. Reynolds will compete with Jan Francisco for the chance to start at first base. If the Brewers happen to keep both men on the roster, one will probably end up playing third base. There is still a shot that Reynolds will go down in flames during spring training, but that’s unlikely.
Brewers Versus Cubs In 2014
The Cubs fans will be making their first drive to Miller Park on the weekend of April 25 through April 27. That’s the first Cubs versus Brewers series of the 2014 season. Another great early series will be The Brew Crew versus the Cardinals, starting on April 14. That’s a three day series, with the game on April 16th being a noon start.
Brewers April Home And Road Schedule
The Brewers will take on the Braves, Pirates, Cardinals, Padres, and Cubs at Miller Park in April. There are 14 home games (and 13 road games on the schedule,) with the Brewers being the Phillies’ opponent for their home opener. An odd (early) inter squad series will also be on the schedule for April, when the Brewers face the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Those games are set for April 4 through April 6th. That series will also be a “home opener” for the Brewers’ opposing team.
Milwaukee Brewers July Games And All Star Break
In the month of July, the Brewers will have two long home stands. Starting on July 7, Milwaukee will face the Phillies for a four game series, and the Cardinals for three games after that. The MLB All Star break starts on July 14, and runs through July 17. Milwaukee will take on the Nationals at Washington for three games, then it’s back to the friendly confines of Miller Park for seven games. The Reds come to town on July 21 and play three games. The Mets will come to Milwaukee for four games, starting on July 23.
Catch all the Brewers action at Miller Park this season. We have tickets for all home and away games. Go Brewers!

Dave Matthews Summerfest 2014 | Ticket King Wisconsin
Taking a break from performing at Alpine Valley this summer, the Dave Matthews Band will play at Summerfest 2014 on July 2. Tickets for Dave Matthews are just one click away. The Marcus Amphitheater is where you will find the band that evening. After all, you can’t expect such a popular band to play on a smaller “free” stage, can you? This makes four Summerfest headline shows booked, with six more to go.
Dave Matthews is now two decades into making great music. The lineup has changed just a bit over the years, with LeRoi Moore, Peter Griesar, and Butch Tayolor no longer with the band. LeRoi Moore passed away in 2008. He was replaced by none other than Jeff Coffin of Bela Fleck. As many fans already know, every show is different. The band plays “versions” of their songs, with no two being the same. If it’s summer, Dave Matthews is on tour somewhere. They sat out just one season since 1991.
New Album In The Works For DMB
It’s been nearly two years since the band has released an album. Prior to that, they were busy putting out live and studio albums with regularity. In fact, DMB is one of the few band to put out more live albums than studio efforts. The band has released 18 live disks, and just eight studio albums. On top of that, they encourage fans to record their live shows, meaning that there are literally hundreds of “taper” recordings floating in the web. As of late 2013, it was made known that the band was working on yet another album. We’ll see if that disc comes out in time for summer.
