Where To Park at Soldier Field | Tailgate Tips – Parking Rules

Packers fans love to travel, and one spot you will see your fellow “Cheeseheads” is Soldier Field. It’s just a few hours from Green Bay, and it’s one of those amazing venues that cannot be missed. So where do you park at Soldier Field for a Bears Game?  Ticket King is happy to help you with the basics. First, it helps to know that the stadium is nestled among a whole bunch of great tourist spots. That can make for challenging parking on specific days.

If you are traveling by bus, you will most likely be parked near the Adler Planetarium. It’s best to prepay for bus parking, so you have a spot assigned to your bus, well before game day. If you are arriving via RV or Camper, you will more than likely want to park in the same lot.

Traveling by car? It’s important to note that you cannot back into your space. Keep in mind that you cannot buy two spaces, just to use one to tailgate.

How soon can I park in the Soldier Field lots? For most lots, you can arrive four hours prior to game time. That should give you lots of time to celebrate before kickoff. You must be out of the garage within two hours of the conclusion of the game. Don’t forget to display your parking ticket on your rear view mirror.  Thinking about taking your chances on street parking? Be warned, you need a special permit to park in areas around the western streets near Lake Shore Drive, Cermak, Clark, and Roosevelt streets.

When you park, please understand that the following items are not allowed in and around the garages.
No advertising, fireworks, inflatable items, tents, political displays, grills or fires. Also, the City of Chicago wants everyone to have a great time, keep your conduct civil.

Tailgate Options at Soldier Field

Since so many parking lots around Soldier Field are multi level structures, tailgating is restricted to just surface lots, and the uppermost deck of the “Waldron” lot. You can find restrooms in the Waldron and North Garage. See you at Soldier Field, Packers fans!
